Sephiria Items: Choose, Place and Manage Your Equipment
Understand item categories, Tablet placement, Side Bag storage, Mystic Pot conversion and potion-slot rules using official versioned records.
Item quick reference
| What you are handling | Its role | First decision |
|---|---|---|
| Artifact | Equipment with its own effect or trigger | Does it support an action you actually use? |
| Tablet | Inventory support for Artifacts | Which placed items receive its benefit? |
| Potion | A separately managed consumable category | Read the bottle's effect and available slot |
| Side Bag item | Stored spare equipment, inactive there | Are you saving it or expecting it to contribute now? |
| Mystic Pot input | Artifact conversion | Which useful effect would you give up? |
| Bound item on the ground | Visible does not necessarily mean collectible | Check the pickup message before planning a trade |
This item guide explains handling and selection rather than duplicating an Artifact stat list. The Steam description establishes the relationship between Artifacts, Tablets and inventory arrangement. The named systems below are supported by developer updates. A complete current item catalogue, exhaustive drop table and universal rarity ranking are not available in this reference.
Inventory operations and versioned rules
| Operation | Documented rule | Source version |
|---|---|---|
| Store a spare in the Side Bag | Its effects are inactive while stored; the feature is unlocked through Destiny Inscription | 1.0 launch |
| Convert one Artifact in the Mystic Pot | Produces a different Artifact of the same rarity | 1.0 launch |
| Convert two Artifacts in the Mystic Pot | Produces one of a higher rarity | 1.0 launch |
| Check an exhausted Mystic Pot | It is displayed as broken after its uses are consumed | 1.0.30 |
| Reduce potion-slot capacity | Bottles from removed slots drop to the ground | 1.0.31 |
| Inspect dropped bound items in co-op | Other players can see them, but pickup is blocked | 1.0.31 |
| Try unlocked items | The Comprehensive Training Grounds inventory makes unlocked items available for experimentation | 1.0.31 |
These rules are recorded in the launch notes, 1.0.30 update and 1.0.31 update. Conversion results are described by rarity, not by a guaranteed named output. No probability for receiving a specific replacement has been verified here.
Decide whether a reward belongs in your active inventory
Read three parts of an effect. Identify the action that triggers it, the benefit it provides and any restriction on that benefit. For example, a line tied to a successful defensive action needs that success; merely equipping the item does not establish that the trigger occurs. A restriction can also make an otherwise attractive reward unsuitable for your current approach. Finish reading before comparing rarity colors or assuming that a familiar icon means a familiar effect.
Compare the replacement, not just the new item. Ask what you would remove to make room and what that removal changes. A new damage source may cost you support for an existing one. Evaluate the resulting inventory as a whole rather than counting only the incoming bonus. If you cannot explain why the replacement improves your next encounters, keeping a functioning arrangement is a reasonable editorial default, not a claim that the old item is objectively stronger.
Separate immediate value from a possible future combination. An item that needs another piece may be a useful spare, but it should not be counted as though the full interaction is already present. Note the missing dependency and the opportunity cost of keeping it. This helps you make an explicit decision between supporting today's inventory and reserving space for a direction that might become possible later.
Arrange Tablets with a question in mind
Identify the intended recipient before moving a Tablet. Read its directional or placement description and locate the Artifact you want to support. Then check what changed in the inventory display. Rearranging several support pieces at once makes it harder to tell which move helped. A screenshot of someone else's arrangement can suggest an idea, but without matching the actual items and their descriptions it is not a universal layout instruction.
Recheck after replacing equipment. A position that supported a previous Artifact may have a different purpose after you swap it. Inspect the new arrangement rather than assuming the old benefit follows an item wherever you move it. This page does not provide invented grid coordinates: a useful placement answer depends on the inventory and support effects actually in front of you.
Treat special operations as their own decisions. Imprinting and combining are named in official update records, but a brief bug-fix line does not document every prerequisite or cost. Read the current interaction prompt before committing a useful item. If you are explaining the result to another player, state which operation you used instead of calling every change an upgrade.
Handle storage, conversion and consumables deliberately
Distinguish storage from activation. After moving a useful spare, check whether it is in the active inventory or the Side Bag. The documented inactivity rule makes that distinction important. A spare can preserve an option without currently powering your run. If a planned interaction stops working after reorganizing, checking where its required piece went is a more direct first step than assuming the effect was removed by a patch.
Choose Mystic Pot inputs you can afford to lose. Compare the guaranteed sacrifice with the unspecified replacement. Higher rarity alone does not tell you whether the output will suit your actions or dependencies. There is no verified recipe here for forcing a particular Artifact, so do not offer the pot the foundation of your setup on the assumption that a named reward is certain.
Check the ground after changing capacity. The potion-slot rule gives a specific reason to inspect nearby drops after a capacity reduction. Verify which bottles remain assigned and which were displaced. Do not confuse an unassigned bottle with a missing effect or assume it was automatically consumed. Exact potion healing amounts, duration tables and drop probabilities remain not available unless a current item description or source establishes them.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a complete item database?
No. It is a guide to item categories and verified inventory operations. The full current catalogue and acquisition table are not available here. Named changes are versioned so that an incomplete reference is not mistaken for an exhaustive list.
Do Side Bag items still grant their effects?
The launch notes explicitly describe stored Side Bag items as inactive. Treat them as spare options, and inspect the active inventory when evaluating whether your setup contains a working interaction.
Can the Mystic Pot guarantee the Artifact I want?
The cited rules describe rarity conversion, not a guaranteed named outcome. We have not verified a targeting recipe or a probability distribution. Evaluate the items being surrendered before relying on an unknown replacement.
Why can I see an item that I cannot pick up in co-op?
The 1.0.31 notes explain that dropped bound items are visible to all players while pickup remains restricted. Read the game's message rather than interpreting visibility as evidence that the item can be transferred.
